Description :

Stamp Album 2011 is a compilation of 14 stamp issues consisting of a variety of themes and celebrations. This year started off with the stamps on Children’s Pets which also coincides with the Year of the Rabbit.

The recent victory of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2011 was also highlighted in the special rectangle and round shaped stamp sheets resembling a football field and football. Other achievements such as the world’s first smart underground tunnel was also celebrated in the stamps whereby special printing technique was used to feature movements in the stamps. Aviation in Malaysia also joined in with their centennial celebration. 

National heritage was also featured in the National Artifacts stamp issuance which featured 10 artifacts that have been endorsed as national artifacts, whereas the Treasures of the Nation’s Visual Arts stamp issuance featured works of 3 famous pioneers of Malaysian art related to the struggle, independence and unity achieved by Malaysia. The values of Malaysians were also highlighted in the Virtues stamp issuance.

The Post Boxes stamp feature the variety and development of the post boxes used in Malaysia over the centuries. The Royal Institution and Royal Palaces remind us of our heritage and monarchy. Another special issuance this year was the Joint Issue with Pos Indonesia whereby we portrayed the similarities of the 2 countries with the aim of bridging them closer together.
