The 2012 Annual Stamp Album is the continuation of collection an annual stamps and miniature sheets where the stories of the nation's development and success is compiled and recorded. For the year 2012, 17 stamps issued in this album portrays Malaysia as a developed nation that values tradition, culture, environment and national achievements.

The Legacy of the Loom stamp issue features 5 different types of weaving that can be found in Malaysia, including the famous dragon which was a hot item amongst the collectors and general public, printed using gold hot stamping.

Malaysian Antartic Research Programme was issued to record the achievement of Malaysia in Artartic. Underwater Life and Aromatic Plants were among the flora and fauna stamps issued. The underwater Life miniature sheet was printed with special iridescent ink that gives
of a metallic effect on certain underwater creatures. The Aromatic Plants miniature sheet on the other hand featured the refreshing fragrance of kaffir lime leaves, which was achieved by adding the kaffir lime leaves essence durung printing process.

The coronation of the King of Malaysia, Pertabalan Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di- Pertuan Agong XIV was special and celebrated with grandeur. To commemorative the second time YDP Agong XIV is being coronated as King of Malaysia, the miniature sheet included a "stamp -on-stamp" whereby the stamps design issued during His Majesty's first coronation in 1971 is re-produced in a new design. This miniatures sheet is also printed using gold hot stamping. In year 2012, Malaysia celebrates another royal stamp issuance that is the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. This special issuance featuring the Queen from another country is in commemoration with the visit of TRH The Dukes & Duchess of Cambridges and also features the stamp issued in 1953 during the coronation of the Queen in a "stamp-on-stamp" design.

Culture and tradition was also featured in the Festivals in Malaysia Series II that is a continuation of the first series. 5 festivals was featured in the stamps printed using special textured goil foil with etching. The new edition of Setemku was also introduced where 4 new designs are avalaible for Setemku Corporate and Setemku Individual respectively. Postman's Uniform portrayed the changes of postman from independence until today.

Kedah celebrated its 100 Years of Postal History in Kedah with issuance of stamp-on-stamp" commemorative stamps as well as a miniature sheet featuring a postcard used in Malaya with a Siamese postage stamp, that was used during the reign of Siam in Kedah over 100 years ago.

Children's Hobbies, issued in collabrotion with Boboiboy abd in conjunction with Stamp Week 2012 was a special issue for children that highlighted many hobbies including collecting stamps.

In short, this 2012 Annual Stamp Album contains a complete stamp and serves as an excellent reference.
