The book explores and celebrates British achievement at the Olympic and Paralympic Games and includes a brief history of how the modern Games were conceived. Packedwith photos and images plus four stamp panes not available anywhere else. All panes are gummed. The definitive pane has darker 1st class stamps than the pale orange shown, close to the sheet and booklet self-adhesive stamps but slightly paler. The 20g airmail stamps are a good match. The Sports stamps on the other three panes look very similar to the stamps issued previously in sheets and have the same perforation as before, with all-over phosphor. The shade differences are minor, and the micro-printed years remain the same as on the original stamps. The se-tenant combinations are, of course, new.
Contains four stamp panes featuring eight stamps from the Countdown to the Olympics issues in unique se-tenant pairs, together with a pane with the Olympic and Paralympic 1st Class and Worldwide Definitive stamps. There is no Machin pane in this book.
The pages of the Prestige Stamp Book also feature facts and figures about British achievements in past Olympic Games.
